The 1,200-year-old city and regional capital of Magdeburg pulls out all the stops for its Christmas market. It is set against the impressive backdrop of the historical town hall and the statue of the Magdeburg Horseman. The aromas of roasted almonds and candy floss waft through the air and you can even try green glühwein. An exciting children's programme entertains kids of all ages.
