At the Christmas market in Heilbronn you can browse for crafts and much more besides at around 100 wooden huts on market square, Kiliansplatz and in the pedestrian precinct, all of which are festively illuminated for the season. Ice skating outside the historical town hall followed by a hot drink in the ski lodge is winter fun at its best. Choirs and brass bands fill the air with festive sounds, resplendent in the glow of 270 beautifully decorated Christmas trees. The Nativity scene, which incorporates real farmyard animals, is a great way to bring the Christmas story to life for children.
