Bad Reichenhall/Bayerisch Gmain

During the festive season in Bad Reichenhall, the town's shops open on a Sunday and there is a pretty little Christmas market in the Reber shopping arcade. It's like Christmas come early for those in search of the perfect present! A wide array of yuletide offerings in the Royal Spa Assembly Rooms on 4 and 5 December 2021 includes more than 60 artists and artisans from across Germany, as well its neighbours Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic, who will be lining up to present all manner of exquisite hand-made items from their workshops and studios. Classical music meets folk tradition at three Philharmonic Christmas Concerts. The themes are Romantic (20 Dec), Venetian (21 Dec) and Alpine (22 & 26 Dec) Christmas music. For a truly enchanting Advent, look no further than Gruttenstein Castle, which is transformed into a festive historical paradise, with a Christmas market, medieval music and fireworks.
