The Christmas market in Hildesheim is set against the enchanting, historical backdrop of the market square and the 'Knochenhaueramtshaus', a former butchers' guildhouse reputed to be the finest half-timbered building in the world. Two other markets are held on 'Platz an der Lilie' and Pferdemarkt squares. Stroll round the beautifully presented stalls and discover a host of delightful gifts and seasonal food and drink. Christmas concerts and performances add to the festive atmosphere.
