With around 70 lovingly presented stalls on the market square and Johannisplatz, you can feel the magic of Christmas in the air. St. John's tower, which stands 45 metres tall, commands an excellent view of the festive proceedings. Seasonal wares, arts and crafts, and regional specialities await, and on 11 December you can shop until midnight. There is also a varied programme of entertainment to enjoy. Children can 'do the rounds' on the kids' railway, the fairytale carousel and the Ferris wheel, or visit the donkey and the sheep at the Nativity scene.
