Gernrode - Stiftshof

For a quiet, contemplative experience, visit 'Advent im Stiftshof' in Gernrode, which takes place around a huge Christmas gate in Burgstrasse on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 December. Seasonal concerts are held in the Romanesque St. Cyriacus collegiate church and cloister, where Ruprecht, one of Father Christmas's helpers, appears in the east crypt. Shadow puppetry and the pretty little Christmas market are a true delight in this tranquil and beautifully illuminated setting.
