Bad Hersfeld

A festival town lit up for Christmas; copyright: Tourist Information Bad Hersfeld e.V.
The Christmas market of 30,000 lights is set on historical Linggplatz square in the old quarter of Bad Hersfeld. It takes its name from the number of bulbs used to illuminate the beautiful medieval facades, adding to the glow from the huge Christmas tree. Choirs perform on the stage every day, and there are additional attractions and entertainment on 5 December.
