Christmas Markets


Plauen

Christmas market in Plauen is held on beautiful Altmarkt square surrounded by historical town houses and the old town hall. The centrepiece is the huge illuminated Christmas tree and the giant revolving pyramid beside it. Countless stallholders offer festive wares and Father Christmas visits every day. Enjoy seasonal entertainment on the Christmas stage or head to neighbouring Klostermarkt square to see the moss man festival, an unusual yuletide tradition. Climb the 230 steps to the top of the town hall tower for panoramic views of the town.
