Flensburg

The Christmas pyramid centrepiece
Bathed in the gentle glow of the giant Christmas tree and Christmas pyramid, Südermarkt square is filled with beautifully decorated stalls selling crafts and festive treats. The Christmas market continues along the pedestrian area as far as Nordermarkt square, with 60 traders from Germany and Denmark displaying their wares. Among the choir performances, processions and kids’ surprises, there’s plenty of scope for the two countries to get better acquainted.
