Christmas shopping under a galaxy of glittering lights
For a festive experience with a difference, visit the seaside Christmas market in Wilhelmshaven, where the stalls that line the narrow streets are decorated with boats, ropes and sailing paraphernalia. It's a great way to get into the seasonal spirit. You can even warm your hands round a mug of glühwein on the North Sea beach. A refreshing breeze blows over from the nearby harbour to give the Christmas market some added “spice”.
