Christmas Markets


Ansbach

This pretty Christmas market around Ansbach's town hall on Martin Luther square is overlooked by the churches of St. John and St. Gumbert: a splendid backdrop for a time-honoured festive tradition. Under a sea of lights, 40 seasonal stalls offer yuletide decorations and hand-crafted wares, including socks, scarves and gloves - comfy, warm and knitted by hand. Fill up on traditional German bratwurst, spicy glühwein (with or without alcohol) and the usual cakes and confectionery. Bathed in a magical glow, local choirs and ensembles are sure to get you into the spirit of the season.
