Braunschweig

A dazzling display of lights
Braunschweig’s medieval Burgplatz square with its cathedral and castle is transformed into a glittering Christmas wonderland during the festive season. More than 140 lovingly decorated stalls present specialities made in Braunschweig and the surrounding region, including ceramics, glass and wooden gifts, candles and tree decorations. Carols, instrumental music and plays combine to create a magical festive atmosphere - what more could you ask for? For kids, there is a Christmas workshop and puppet theatre.
