Saarbrücken

Santa and his sleigh look from down on high
Saarbrücken’s historical St. Johanner Markt square and the region’s most popular shopping street, Bahnhofstrasse, provide the ideal setting for the Christkindl Markt. The many fantastic attractions include a traditional alpine hut, a huge Advent wreath, a bell tower and life-size Christmas characters. Every evening at 7pm, Father Christmas and his reindeer sleigh hover over the market on a high wire and tell the story of Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer.
