Art & culture

Frankfurt Alte Oper concert hall
Frankfurt's museums along "museum embankment" have a variety of exhibitions. There is culture for every age, from pop music events to classical opera to modern theatre performances.

Goethe House and Goethe
The home of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's parents reflects upper-middle class life in the mid-18th century. The poet was born and also wrote his early works here. The furnishings are typical of the late baroque period and provide a fascinating insight into the way people lived at that time. Although the furniture is not original, every effort has been made to recreate the individual rooms as faithfully as possible.

Alte Oper concert hall
Since it was reopened, this prestigious late 19th century building has been an integral part of the Frankfurt cultural scene. It hosts a wide range of events in the mahogany-panelled "Great Hall", with its acclaimed acoustics, and in the Mozart Hall: international ensembles and soloists, symphony and chamber concerts, lieder recitals, old and modern music, jazz, rock and pop and comedy.

Youth culture - Batschkapp

There are plenty of cool places in Frankfurt. "Batschkapp“ is an arts centre and rock club  which stages numerous musical events and parties. "Batschkapp“ is open to newcomers, new trends and musical experiments.
