Trade fairs/exhibitions

Every year Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre hosts more than 40 trade fairs and exhibitions, 23 of which are regarded as number one internationally in their respective industries. Düsseldorf's core expertise lies primarily in the fields of machinery and equipment, medicine and health, fashion and lifestyle. "Exhibitions are windows into the future" – this is the thinking that inspires around 29,500 exhibitors every year to showcase their products to more than 1.8 million visitors.

Twice a year – in spring and autumn – the cpd fashion trade fair in Düsseldorf's Exhibition Centre attracts 40,000 fashion industry pros from around the world to cast their expert eye over new collections and to make purchasing decisions for the coming season. The three-day trade fair has a range of seminars to complement its fashion shows and showrooms.
 
MEDICA
Every November, this "World Forum for Medicine" takes place in Düsseldorf and with 4,400 exhibitors from 67 countries it is the world's largest trade fair for medical solutions. Run in parallel with ComPaMED, its sister trade fair for medical technology the two trade fairs attract more than 135,000 visitors annually. They focus on pharmaceutical and laboratory technology, medical instruments and equipment for general practices and hospitals.
 
"boot" boat show
Every year in the middle of January the international boat show "boot" takes place in Düsseldorf. Alongside boats and boating equipment, the exhibition, which is open to all visitors, focuses on windsurfing, diving, angling and other water sports as well as tourism products. The largest show of its kind in the world draws more than 25,000 visitors and around 1,600 exhibitors from over 50 countries.
