Those who are interested in the history of the seaside resort of Heiligendamm may be interested in a trip to the Town and Spa Museum in Bad Doberan. Town and Spa Museum
The newly renovated Town and Spa Museum can be found in the Möckelhaus building close to Bad Doberan Minster. This house was built between 1886 and 1888 by the architect Gotthilf Ludwig Möckel in a neo-Gothic style and captivates visitors with its fascinating variety of forms. The museum contains fascinating exhibits on the history of the first German seaside resort. In the summer months the grounds of the museum are a great place to go for a stroll.
