Art & culture

The Ruppiner Land region is not only renowned for its lakes but also its culture. This little town on the river Rhin became famous through Kurt Tucholsky's book "Rheinsberg: A Picture Book for Lovers" ("Rheinsberg: ein Bilderbuch für Verliebte") and Theodor Fontane's story "Walks through the Brandenburg Marches" ("Wanderungen durch die Mark Brandenburg"). World-class musical events, theatre productions and readings take place al year round in the magnificent surroundings of the Palace Theatre.

Rheinsberg Palace Theatre
Rheinsberg Palace Theatre is the town's most famous cultural venue and tourist attraction. Over 100 concerts, theatre productions and readings take place here every year, including top events such as the Easter Festival of Old Music, the Whitsun Rheinsberg Music Festival and the Whitsun New Music Workshop.

Rheinsberg Academy of Music
The Academy of Music provides master classes, workshops and rehearsal space for choirs, orchestras and theatre companies with around 5,500 musicians attending residential courses every year.
