Places of interest

The town's most prominent landmark is the medieval Steinsberg Castle built by the Hohenstaufen dynasty. The castle houses a restaurant serving traditional fare and in the summer months, the castle grounds play host to a range of cultural events. The castle is open to the public and guided tours are also available.
Visitors can take a journey back in time at the Automotive and Technology Museum, which exhibits a unique variety of spectacular aeroplanes and other achievements from the history of technology. The municipal museum in the historical town hall focuses on the colorful history of the town and its surrounding region. At the Rhein-Neckar-Arena Sinsheim fans can enjoy all the ball game action under a 'floating cloud'-like retractable roof. The stadium was opened across from the Automotive and Technology Museum with a big celebration in early 2009 and is now one of the Kraichgau region's top attractions. It has capacity for 30,000 spectators and is home to the TSG Hoffenheim soccer club. Supporters will soon realize whose sacred home ground they have entered, as this new temple of soccer is dominated by the color blue, the color scheme of TSG Hoffenheim.

The town and its surrounding region also boast excellent vineyards, green meadows, forests and idyllic lakes - all of which make Sinsheim a relaxing travel destination. Fine wines and warm summer days make the Kraichgau region an insider's tip for wine lovers. There is also plenty to savor along the gourmet trail Baden Asparagus Route. Whether you enjoy walking, cycling, golfing or hang-gliding, there are activities to suit everyone's taste.
