Places of Interest in Brandenburg

Potsdam
Because of its isolated position, the border crossing point on the "Glienicker Brücke" bridge was used for spectacular exchanges of international spies. The Bundesvermögensamt (Federal Property Office) hosts a permanent exhibition about the history of the bridge.

 

Lindenstraße
The former GDR state prison "Lindenstraße 54/55", located in the inner-city, now serves as a memorial commemorating its former prisoners. A permanent exhibition in the disused cells displays the history of the prison as a soviet intelligence- and a GDR remand prison.
