tRÄNENpALAST in Berlin

Since the fall of the Berlin Wall, the tRÄNENpALAST (Palace of Tears), a former border crossing point between East and West Berlin, has become a vibrant entertainment venue with a special place in people's hearts both in Germany and abroad. Its cross-border cultural concept encompasses cabaret, comedy, jazz and world music concerts, TV recordings, parties and readings.

The tRÄNENpALAST building is now a historic preservation site, representing what it was at a certain moment in history and what needs to remain a part of it - a place where borders are crossed and different cultures come face to face. The list of famous artists and musicians who have performed at the tRÄNENpALAST to date includes Prince, Chaka Khan, The Temptations, John Lurie, Paul Kuhn, Diether Krebs, Georg Kreisler and the Missfits.
