Lichtenwalde Palace

The Palace was erected between 1722 and 1726 on behalf of the Earl of Watzdorf. After a great fire in 1905 the baroque palace was reconstructed and since 2001 it has been open to visitors. Lichtenwalde palace hosts exhibitions like the only German "Silhouette Museum", the Museum of Nations and Cultures, which among others shows unique exhibits from West Africa and Nepal. Additionally, one can admire the Clock Museum and the Dolls and Historic Toys Exhibition. The baroque garden is determined by the transition from the baroque to the rococo period - magnificent and fancy.
