Schwäbisch Gmünd

The centre of Schwäbisch Gmünd, the oldest imperial 'Staufer' town, has a wonderful Christmas atmosphere. A majestic Christmas tree towers over the 75 festively decorated stalls where traditional craftwork, Christmas tree decorations, wooden toys and much more are on offer. Among the highlights are a Nativity scene with live animals in a stable and a huge Advent calendar at the Madonna fountain.
