Every visit to one of Germany's diverse castles and palaces is an inspiring event. Hundreds of castles from virtually every period are waiting for you to be explored. You can join a castle tour, experience the scenic villages around the castles, or take part in medieval festivals, feasts and great souvenir hunting. If you want to feel like a real prince or princess, you can even stay overnight and enjoy an authentic dinner at some of these romantic castles. Railtour of the Romantic Road

Castles & Palaces, City Experiences, Package Tours – Continental Journeys

This tour features 3 nights in the Bavarian capital, Munich, with city tour and visit to the spectacular Neuschwanstein Castle. 2 nights in Rothenburg, a small walled city on the Romantic Road that is completely preserved with a history of over 1000 years, 1 night each in the medieval city of Augusburg, Würzburg with its famous Residence, and the bustling city of Frankfurt.

Germany: From the Past Into the Future

An 8-day escorted tour features the most interesting places reflecting Germany's colorful past and the modern Germany of the future. 

With all departures guaranteed, visit the over 1000 year old town of Goslar (listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site), Nuremberg, Munich, Heidelberg, and the modern cities of Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Wolfsburg and Leipzig. 

The tour includes full sightseeing in all cities with visits to the Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg, the German Rail Museum in Nuremberg, the BMW Museum in Munich, the Mercedes-Benz Museum and the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. 

You will also enjoy a visit to Heidelberg Castle with the impressive UNESCO-listed inner courtyard. 

Transportation by air-conditioned bus and the ICE high-speed train, 7-nights accommodation, 8 meals including a Festive Farewell Dinner, sightseeing, all admissions.

Nutcracker Tour

Castles & Palaces, Package Tours – Posh Journeys
This tour is a one of a kind Christmas Tour with two nights in the Nutcracker Town of Seiffen and to Christmas Markets not ordinarily included in Christmas Market Tours. Participants will enjoy stays in castles and attend a private Christmas Concert at the Castle Triestewitz. Another highlight is a sleigh ride (wagon ride if weather does not permit a sleigh) and special dinners featuring holiday specialties of the various regions such as a Neinerlaa dinner in a historic stage coach inn.The tour is limited to 10 participants due to available space in two of the castles.

A 12-day escorted tour is a beautiful grand tour of historic Germany, featuring the most beautiful towns in both West and former East Germany. 

With all departures guaranteed, visit many towns that are over 1000 years old, and some of the most beautiful modern cities. 

The tour includes sightseeing in all cities with visits to The Wartburg Castle in Eisenach, Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam, the Green Vault in Dresden, Heidelberg Castle and UNESCO-listed inner courtyard and Gutenberg Museum in Mainz. 

Also included are the cruise on the Rhine River from Rüdesheim to St. Goarshausen, harbor cruise in Hamburg, and Chocolate Museum in Cologne. 

Along the German Fairytale Road you will visit Hamelin with lavishly decorated houses and the home of the Pied Piper. Also tour the wine country near Trier, the Rhine and Moselle Valleys. And visit Germany's capital city of Berlin and the port cities of Hamburg and Bremen.
