Hannover for only $100 a Day

In the Morning...
Start the day with an inspection of the Sprengel Museum Hannover. The Museum with its comprehensive permanent collection and diverse temporary exhibitions ranks among the most important museums of 20th and 21st century art. Focus is put on classical modernist art with a collection of Kurt Schwitters, works of German expressionism, and French cubism, the cabinet of abstracts, the graphics and the department of photography and media.

For Lunch...

Take a lunch break in one of the cafes and snack bars in Hannover's city center. For example, try "currywurst" - a favorite of the former German chancellor and Hannoverian Gerhard Schroeder.

In the Afternoon...

The most important styles and genres of landscape design are authentically represented in the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen: the Baroque garden in the French style, the English landscaped garden and the botanical garden. On a 135 hectare plot, the Hannover electors and kings created the Great Garden, the Berggarten, the Georgengarten and the Guelph Garden - together known as the Herrenhausen Gardens.

In the Evening...

Enjoy a traditional dish in the restaurant Im Leineschloss which is located close to Hannover's Oldtown, nearby the Parliament of Lower Saxony. The restaurant serves authentic home-made cuisine. Therefore many fresh ingredients are delivered by regional farmers.

At Night...
