Exhibition "MeeresWelten" in Stralsund

"MeeresWelten" is an interactive exhibition in Stralsund at the Baltic Sea. In an oversized blue bubble at Stralsund´s harbour side you can explore the phenomena of particular sea species and the cultural history of the sea.

Multimedia games and interactive objects invite visitors to a journey into the mysterious deep sea; explain the threads caused by over fishing or the consequences of acoustic pollution for the orientation system of dolphins.

Information about Tsunamis, deep sea creatures or early swimsuits gives a wide overview. Impressive above all is the huge head of a whale's skeleton, which is even bigger than a human. The exhibition is interesting for kids as well as for adults.

"MeeresWelten" is an exhibition of the Deutsches Meeresmuseum Stralsund. It is supported by the German Federal Donation of Environment (DBU). The exhibition hall is located in the north of Stralsund´s Harbour Island. Close by ferries leave for Hiddensee and the island of Ruegen. Coming from the inner city, you reach "MeeresWelten" in about 10 minutes.
