Dirty Dancing

"Nobody puts Baby in a corner!" Millions of moviegoers fevered at this point with Patrick Swayze, aka Johnny Castle, and his last dance with Frances "Baby" Houseman at Kellerman's resort. A few minutes after the profession of love, that remains unforgotten even today, the two finally master the spectacular lift, and thereby a happy ending that even mucho men couldn't resist.

Since March 2006 the audience can experience these moments live at the Neue Flora theater in Hamburg. The show remains true to the movie material in all respects, but it holds surprises even for the knowledgeables: more hit songs from the 60s and 80s, better developed characters, and additionally, never before shown scenes and even hotter dances bring the infamous Summer of '63 back to life. Eleanor Bergstein's Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage is not a classical musical with sung dialogs. The audience is supposed to feel like they are a guest at Kellerman's resort themselves, become part of the story, and experience the action skin deep. The unforgotten music is thereby integrated in the action on stage like a soundtrack.
