Naumburg

The heart of Naumburg's Christmas market is the town's picture-postcard market square. It is lined by a remarkable ensemble of Renaissance and baroque-style buildings, a wonderfully atmospheric setting for the numerous Christmas stalls. There is an open day on 1 and 2 December, when visitors have the chance to sample some delicious local specialities.
