German-Jewish Exhibits

Two Major Exhibitions Chronicling German-Jewish History open on Berlin's Lake Wannsee

The House of the Wannsee Conference Memorial reopened in January 2006 with a permanent exhibition offering an insight into the darkest period in Germany's history. "The Wannsee Conference and the Genocide of the European Jews" exhibit provides vivid portraits of how the genocidal strategies set down at the conference effected the lives of individuals. The exhibition is in English and German and open daily from 10 am until 6 pm. Admission is free.

The Max Liebermann House Museum's redesigned exhibit, at the impressionist's former summer home, opened in April 2006 and shows the positive side of German-Jewish history spotlighting the beauty of the influential Jewish painter's inspiring gardens, elegant living quarters, and world-celebrated art. Open Wed - Mon 11am - 6 pm, Thursdays until 8 pm, closed Tuesdays. Tel ++49 30-80 58 38 30
