Düsseldorf: MediaPort

On an historical area of about 200 acres art, communication, creativity and spectacular architecture have merged into an exciting mixture. Among the most striking structures are the Frank O. Gehry buildings and the new city gate. Notwithstanding all these innovations you can still feel the port atmosphere everywhere. The old commercial port with its quay walls, the stairs, its cast-iron bollards, the old cargo quay with cranes and warehouses is classified as an historical monument.
