Berlin - Art Forum Berlin

Weimar - Onion Market
The 300 year old Weimar Onion Market is an annual happening that always takes place in early October. The fields around Weimar still produce great, and the three day event is with more than 550 market stalls and about 350,000 visitors the biggest festival of the state Thuringia. In every year as one of the festival highlights a local girl is announced onion queen.

Voelklingen - Exhibition Duane Hanson
The world heritage site Voelklinger Huette serves as venue for an exhibition that displays 26 works of the world famos Pop-Art-Artist Duane Hanson. Duane Hanson (1925-1996) was one of the most important American sculptors of the twentieth century, with numerous major museum exhibitions including solo shows at the Whitney Museum of American Art and the 'Musee des Beaux Arts de Montreal'. He became famous in the 1960s and '70s for his lifelike sculptures of everyday people that were cast from live models, then painted in great detail and finished with hair, clothing, and such ordinary objects as cups, purses, and chairs. Voelklingen is the onliest station of a Duane-Hanson-world-tour in middle Europe. At the same time the exhibition marks the final of the project 'European Capital of Culture 2007, Luxemburg and Greater Region'.

Bremen - Freimarkt
Over 950 years mark what is one of Germany's oldest civic festivals is. Not satisfied with the fairground, the city's 'fifth season' spreads out into the entire city, featuring music, dance and excitement in public houses and the historic Ratskeller (Wine Cellar).
