Bad Duerkheim - Wurstmarkt
The Wurstmarkt fair and wine festival has a very long history dating back to the 6th century. It is one of the largest, most traditional and entertaining public festivals in Germany, and it is the main event of the year in the Pfalz. The entertainment along with the wine is one of the distinctive features of the festival. Despite its name it is Germany's largest wine festival. You can enjoy over 150 different wines in over 50 different places - from the mellow Riesling to the finest ice-wine.

Munich - Oktoberfest
Held on the Wies'n fairground the world-famous Oktoberfest will be opened with the traditional words "O'zapft is" (the barrel is tapped). Stuttgart - Road Cycling World Championships
In September 2007 this prestige event in the cycling calendar returns to one of its spiritual homes. After a gap of 16 years, Stuttgart once again hosts the Road Cycling World Championships. This will be one of the sporting highlights for the City of Stuttgart which in 2007 will be the 'European Sport Capital'.

Stuttgart - 162nd 'Cannstatter Wasen' Fest
Every year, millions of guests join the locals to enjoy the worlds
second largest and most attractive beer garden and folk festivals. Up to 5000 visitors can frolicsomely celebrate in each festival tent. Bands wearing traditional clothing ensure the cheerful entertainment and the Stuttgarter and visitors enjoy delicious Käsespätzle (Swabian noodles with cheese), roast, potato noodles with sour kraut, Göckele or crispy knuckles.
