Various locations - Asparagus Festivals
Asparagus is Germany's "King of Vegetables" and its harvest is an eagerly anticipated sign of spring. Every year the asparagus season is celebrated with the asparagus festivals where creative and traditional asparagus treats will be presented by local and international exhibitors. Gera/ Ronneburg - Federal State Garden Exhibition
For the first time ever, the garden show is presenting two contrasting areas: Courtly Meadow Park (Hofwiesenpark) in Gera and New Landscape (Neue Landschaft) in Ronneburg. The program offers magnificent floral displays and fantastic landscapes as well as music, dance, opera and operetta.

Cologne - MusikTriennale
Every three years, Cologne opens its doors for weeks of concerts as wide-ranging and eclectic in taste as you could wish for. Between Easter and Whitsuntide, the entire city of Cologne will celebrate the MusikTriennale, which will showcase the astonishing richness and diversity of music supported by an illustrious array of highly acclaimed artists. Contemporary, classical, world music, chamber and song recitals, children's concerts, musicals, opera and music theatre are all included in over 150 events which fill the city with music all day, every day!

Lake Bodensee - International Bodensee Festival
The International Bodensee Festival takes place for a month around the Bodensee lake in south-west Germany and offers a colorful range of concerts, literary events, exhibitions and theatre performances. This year's theme is 'Fairy tails, Myths und Legends'.
