Hamburg - Harbor Anniversary Festival
Popular Harbor Festival along the river with scores of attractions on land, on water and in the air. There will be crowds populating every square inch at the river Elbe. Traditional highlights are: Parade of tall and traditional ships, tugboat ballet, dragon boat racing, and harbor illuminations.

Linz to Bonn - 'Rhine in Flames'
Each year, on the first Saturday in May, the towns on the Rhine in the 30
Kilometers between Linz and Bonn celebrate their romantic stretch of the
river with big fireworks. Major participating towns are Bad Honnef, Bonn, Bingen, Koenigswinter, Koblenz, Linz, Remagen, Oberwesel, Ruedesheim, St Goar and St. Goarshausen.

Dresden - International Dixieland Festival
The second biggest Jazz Festival in the world - about 40 bands from Europe and USA enthuse one hundred thousands of fans in concerts, on the Elbe steam boats, on the Jazz street Prager Strasse, on the big Dixieland parade, while the jam session on Theatre Square.

Augsburg - German Mozart Festival 2006
Germany's Mozart City, Augsburg, celebrates the composer's 250th birthday
with a series of special concerts, many in original Mozart locations, for
which top international artists and music ensembles have been engaged.

Hannover - International Fireworks Competition
The International Firework Competition in Hannover's baroque Großer Garten (large garden) sees different nations presenting feasts of pyrotechnical craziness on Saturdays during summer. The combination of large fire fountains in all available colors with classical music and the stunning surroundings make the city an exciting place to be.

Berlin - Carnival of Cultures
The Carnival of Cultures is a reflection of Berlin's cultural diversity. It brings together professional artists and amateurs, young and old. It is open towards new trends and styles in youth and minority culture. 440.000 immigrants from more than 180 countries live in the German capital. The Carnival is a unique opportunity for members of Berlin's ethnic communities to make their cultures visible to Berliners and visitors alike.

Stuttgart - Opening of the new Mercedes Benz Museum
The new Museum near Stuttgart will open its doors to the public for the first time in May. Not only the architecture will fascinate all visitors but also the exhibition of more than 120 years of individual mobility inside the building.

Buechenau - Asparagus Festival
The Pfaelzer Forest is famous for its asparagus production and the spring festival celebrates this. In Buechenau (30 miles northwest of Karlsruhe), the asparagus season is celebrated with the Asparagus Festival where creative and traditional asparagus treats will be presented by local and international exhibitors.
