Public Transportation

Traffic lights with an acoustic signal for the blind have been installed throughout the city center. All busses are accessible for wheelchair users. Please ask the bus driver for assistance if there is no ramp. Most of the train stations are equipped with elevators and wheelchair-friendly restrooms and corrugated guidance stripes mark the edge of the platforms. At the main station (Hauptbahnhof), the German Red Cross (DRK) offers a mobility service for disabled people traveling by train. For reservations, please call Tel.: +49 341 9602281.
