Public Transportation:
Dresden's public transportation authority DVB offers personal ride assistance for physically challenged visitors. The staff is particularly trained to serve your special needs. No further expenses arise from this service, you only need to purchase your ticket for the ride. Your personal assistant will pick you up at your hotel or meet you at the station. Sightseeing by Boat:
The shipping company 'Sächsische Dampfschiffahrt' offers tours on nostalgic steampaddlers touring the beautiful Elbe Valley, a UNESCO world heritage site since 2004.
4 disabled-friendly steamboats are at your service for tours between Dresden and Pillnitz, passing castles and palaces, and for day cruises upstream to the Saxonswitzerland between Dresden and Königstein. The boats provide wheelchair-accessible restrooms. Tracks 17-19 can be reached via elevators. For arrivals/departures on tracks 9-14, please contact the service team for assistance. Please calculate a transfer time of 30 minutes. The main station also offers wheelchair-accessible restrooms (at cost of EUR 0.50) and disabled parking.
