Rothenburg's Reiterlesmarkt is in an idyllic setting between the town hall and St. Jacob's Church and is said - by those in the know - to be one of Germany's most atmospheric Christmas markets. Passageways twisting this way and that, the German Christmas Museum, the scent of glühwein and night-time torch-lit walks are all here. Germany at Christmastime, just as you imagine it.
