Feel, taste and experience the festive season at the Aurich Christmas market in East Friesland, which boasts a perfect mix of typical Christmas delicacies and crafts. The theme is "Aurich shines – the whole town becomes a Christmas market", and you will be greeted by a sea of lights as soon as you arrive. The 11-metre Christmas pyramid and the Christmas Magic Ferris wheel are impressive sights. Exciting prizes are on offer in the Christmas lottery "Goldene 7" in the giant pyramid. This is also a rare opportunity to combine a festive stroll with a leisurely shopping trip: during late-night opening on 5 December, the shops in the town centre stay open until midnight, and the Christmas market is open until 1am.
