Altötting's enchanting Christkindlmarkt is held around the Chapel of the Miraculous Image on Kapellplatz, a beautiful square flanked by fine baroque buildings. Don't miss the traditional Advent concerts with choirs and orchestras from Upper Bavaria and Salzburg, and the grand Christmas concert with the Regensburger Domspatzen boys' choir. The fabulous exhibition of Nativity scenes in the congregation hall is also well worth a visit.
