Peaceful death in Eisleben

Luther grave and pulpit
In 1546, Luther travelled to Eisleben, the town where he was born, to resolve an inheritance dispute for the Count of Mansfeld. He died there on 18 February and was buried three days later in the Castle Church in Wittenberg.
