Würzburg Mozart Festival, copyright Kulturamt
Würzburg's diversity of prestigious cultural events taking place throughout the year ranges from the distinguished Mozart Festival to Germany's only Africa Festival.
 
Würzburg Bach Festival
The Würzburg Bach Choir and Bach Orchestra perform oratorios, orchestral concerts, organ and piano recitals and an evening of lieder.
 
Würzburg Mozart Festival
The annual Mozart Festival attracts music lovers from all over the world. As well as evenings of chamber music and symphony concerts by famous orchestras and soloists, highlights also include "night music" in the beautifully illuminated garden of the Residenz Palace and the rococo garden of Veitshöchheim Palace.
 
Würzburg Jazz Festival
The jazz festival takes place regularly on the first weekend in November. The declared intention of the Würzburg Jazz Initiative is to use the festival to showcase contemporary jazz as well as both the local and the German-speaking jazz scene.
